Things to do in Passy
Located in Passy, our holiday chalets are surrounded by nature, offering activities and must-see attractions.
Passy is home to some very special sites, including Lac Vert, near the Plaine-Joux resort, a hidden emerald in the forest that is easily accessible on foot, as well as the Cascade du Cœur waterfall, which plunges down from the Platé mountain into the valley below, splitting into two streams over a heart-shaped rock.
Passy also offers winter sports at the family-friendly Plaine-Joux resort as well as indoor skiing. Then there are the natural, cultural and heritage discoveries at the Assy plateau, together with escapades with your head in the clouds, such as paragliding and hot air ballooning, or with your feet on the ground or in the water at the Passy Lake leisure centre.
Things to do in Saint-Gervais Mont Blanc
Located at the foot of Mont Blanc, nicknamed the ‘Roof of Europe’, Saint-Gervais is a gem to add to your travel itinerary.
With its vibrant village atmosphere, thermal baths where you can relax and unwind at leisure, an enormous ski area for winter sports, hiking and mountain biking trails in summer, a lively cultural scene and a thousand and one other attractions, Saint-Gervais is well worth a visit.
One of our favourite activities: it has to be the Mont Blanc tramway, the highest cog railway in France!
Embark on a vintage journey like no other, from Saint-Gervais (or Le Fayet) to the Nid d'Aigle (the Eagle's Nest) situated at an altitude of 2,372 metres.
The views from here are truly spectacular!
Things to do in Chamonix
You can’t possibly stay in our rentals without making a little detour to Chamonix, the world capital of mountaineering.
Truly great skiing can be found here in the much-prized resorts of Les Houches, Le Brévent, La Flégère, Les Grands-Montets and Balme.
And the rest of the year, Chamonix is just as appealing, with its lively village feel, museums and boutiques, as well as its theme parks for children, smorgasbord of gourmet produce and enticing summer trails.
Trail running, climbing, mountain biking, lakes and waterfalls: there's really something for everyone.
Les Greniers du Mont-Blanc’s top tip: the Aiguille du Midi cable car ascent for its breathtaking views over the French, Italian and Swiss Alps, and while you’re there, why not venture onto the ‘Step into the Void’ glass skywalk for the ultimate in thrills and spills!
Things to do in Megève
Just 25 minutes from Passy, the village resort of Megève offers the perfect blend of authenticity and refinement.
A year-round destination, visitors come here to experience the French art of living through a variety of experiences ranging from gastronomy to sport, shopping, culture, heritage and entertainment.
In summer, the mountain pastures, flower-filled streets, soothing sound of cowbells and elegant boutiques offer a wonderfully colourful day out.
In winter, hurtle down 450km of slopes stopping off at the resort’s lively bars along the way.
One of our favourites: the Christmas tree in the village square and the sound and light show that conjures up magic and enchantment the whole winter through.
